On-set supervision is an essential resource for any project. Errors during the shooting sessions can have drastic knock-on effects further down the pipeline. The on-set supervision is the way to avoid the unexpected in post-production and in our case, in the Matchmove process.
Standard operation requires that the visual effects supervisor meets with the director and producer to discuss the script breakdown and specific VFX needs; and based on a firm understanding of the director’s expectations, the VFX supervisor will collaborate with production department heads and orchestrate a whole chain of duties that he will distribute to his team members accordingly.
